the stillwater shop's marina will be dreadged (about 40 feet...from high water mark out to state island) this fall to accommodate the flattop ferry,...taxi(s) and the riverboat(s) operations as well as the boat/canoe/kyack rental business.
town loves the idea and the dec have no say in the matter.
50 feet wide and 600 feet long should be enough space for all and 40 feet deep to keep it wetted all season long
have a nice day

Altough I haven't posted in a while, I've been checking the site continously. I can't praise Rudy enough for coming to the "rescue" of the Thompson's and all the folks at Beaver River Station [including my brother]. The DEC should hang it's head in shame for this nonsense with the barge/tour boat/Grassy Point docks/etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the landing at 6 mile road and Grassy point Town of Webb propety. Even though the road has been unmaintained by the town since the last lake enlargement, it certainly has had continued use all these years and been kept up by those folks back in there. Again, thanks to you for everything you've done for this issue, this web site, and our "Equal Access" to it all. _________________ any day above ground is a good one

the thompson's have been successful in securing leases for "the grassey point road" and "the landing" areas of operations from the TOW. the problem with the dec is the boat ramp area in stillwater proper. i have the lease at this end of the road and have offered to share the area with the thompson's.
having said that............using the boat ramp area(which is dec controlled and belongs to HRBRRD) as in past years would be ideal for the thompson's and their customers...."if" they can get a re-issue vendor/operating permit from the dec........fat chance....sparkey
this saga has not played out in it's entirety..............yet........will keep you all posted as things progress or re-gress....which ever
